Condolence message – Judith Makwanya

14 Mar Condolence message – Judith Makwanya

The Zimbabwe Media Commission joins the Makwanya family and the entire media fraternity in mourning the sudden death of one of Zimbabwe’s finest journalists, Judith Makwanya. Her sudden death has robbed not only the Zimbabwe Broadcasting Corporation of a dedicated employee but the entire Zimbabwean community and beyond who had been used to Judith’s voice on radio and her cheerful personality on our television screens.

Judith is one of the longest serving journalists in the country whose work spurns for nearly three decades. She has highlighted many national issues as a reporter and many upcoming journalists did learn a lot from her.  The Zimbabwe Media Commission cherishes her dedication to the journalism profession and the lessons and contributions she made to the media profession. The Commission will always cherish her dedication in articulating the Zimbabwean story and the passion with which she reported on issues surrounding our national interests.

The Commission implores journalists today to respect the journalism profession and do abide by its dictates.  This characterized Judith’s life as a journalist.

The Zimbabwe Media Commission would like to express its deepest condolences to the Makwanya family, ZBC and the entire media fraternity on the sudden death of a dedicated journalist whose contribution to journalism is immeasurable.

May her soul rest in eternal peace.
